Emilio Vedova: Tondi e Oltre

The solo exhibition dedicated to the Venetian painter Emilio Vedova (1919-2006) at Galleria dello Scudo focuses on a selection of unpublished works executed between 1985 and 1987. Collected under the title of “Emilio Vedova. Tondi e Oltre” (Emilio Vedova. Round and Beyond) are some thirty works whose distinctive feature had become that “circle shape” which the artist himself defined as “a possible dimension of feeling other“. The works are in fact united by the recurring presence of the circular element, sometimes due to the format of the support, sometimes due to the perimeter of the painting inscribed in a square canvas.
The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Fondazione Emilio e Annabianca Vedova.
