Notre Dame de Paris Musical

Notre Dame de Paris, one of the most famous modern popular operas in the world, is on show this autumn at the Arena di Verona celebrating 20 years since its debut in Italy.
Based on the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo, the Italian version of the show, curated by Pasquale Pannella with music by Riccardo Cocciante, has thrilled millions of spectators in these twenty years. A show that encompasses a unique alchemy with a team of artists of the highest level: from the masterful adaptation of the novel by Luc Plamondon and Pasquale Panella, to the direction of director Gilles Maheu, from the extraordinary choreography and stage movements created by Martino Müller, to the costumes carefully designed by Fred Sathal and the sets by Christian Ratz. For the occasion, the show features for the last time the entire original cast of the debut.
The original 2002 cast with Lola Ponce as Esmeralda and Giò Di Tonno as Quasimodo will perform in the world’s emblematic opera venue. Since 12 September 2002, the date that marked the debut of “Notre Dame de Paris” in the Arena di Verona and before the 42 performances that took place there, more than 350,000 spectators from all over the world have been able to enjoy this international success.
