Frequent comparison with the historical avant-garde of the twentieth century: Futurism, Dadaism, Surrealism, Nouveau Réalisme, Fluxus. Body Art and performance from the 1960s to the present day have been the theme of some important exhibitions and events over the years. Extensive solo exhibitions have been devoted to established Italian and international artists including: Enrico Baj, Claudio Costa, Toti Scialoja, Arman, Ken Friedman, Jean Dupuy and Wim Delvoye. The gallery’s exhibition space is located on the ground floor of a historic 16th-century building in the oldest part of Verona, between Piazza Isolo and the Roman Theatre. The place called ‘la giarina’ gives the name to the gallery itself.
