The Museo di Castelvecchio exhibits important collections of medieval, renaissance and modern art, until the XVIII century.
Twenty-nine 29 exhibition halls with paintings, sculptures, archaeological finds and weapons; 622 works of medieval, renaissance and modern art on display; 90,000 medals and 10,000 prints, drawings and photographic plates; over 4,000 items in storage. These are the numbers of this collection, one of the most important museums in the city dedicated above all to Italian and European art within the complex of the Scaligera fortress of Castelvecchio.
