To celebrate 100 years of the Arena di Verona Opera Festival, the evening of 20 August features tenor Jonas Kaufmann, who starred in 2022 in “Aida” as Radamés. Following the success of the Jonas Kaufmann Gala Event in 2020, the German star (nicknamed “the king of tenors”) will return to the Arena for a new evening event, during which he will play three different characters in as many opera acts, all strictly in stage form.
This evening is one of the season’s special events, including Roberto Bolle and Friends (July 19), Juan Diego Floréz in Opera-Arena 1000 (July 23), Plácido Domingo in Opera-Arena 100 (August 6) and Teatro alla Scala in Arena (Aug. 31).
