To celebrate 100 years of the Arena di Verona Opera Festival, the evening of 23 July features tenor Juan Diego Flórez, the greatest contemporary interpreter of the Rossini and bel canto repertoire. A figure missing from the current galaxy of Arena opera superstars. The Peruvian artist will finally tread the amphitheater stage as the absolute star of an unmissable Gala in stage form.
This evening is one of the season’s special events, including Roberto Bolle and Friends (July 19), Plácido Domingo in Opera-Arena 100 (Aug. 6), Jonas Kaufmann in Opera-Arena 100 (Aug. 20) and Teatro alla Scala in Arena (Aug. 31).
